The Fair (part 2)

I also entered the beginning pieces of my “Fuzzy Kitchen” set. Mostly, the dishes and utensels are made out of plastic canvas, while the “food” is knit. Here is the yarn for each part of the set, as completed so far....

*Cookie Cutter (yellow star):
- two small, plastic canvas, star shapes
- bits of plastic canvas for handle and depth
- cheap, yellow yarn

*Cookie Dough:
- feltable wool yarn (at least 90% wool)
- knitting needles of your choosing
- knit a rectangle
- felt fabric
- cut into a blob and whip stitch around the edge
- use “cookie cutter” as a template for cutting out cookie shapes
- cut out with exacto knife
- “frost” with store-bought pink felt pieces

*Baking Sheet:
- plastic canvas
- black yarn

*Tea Pot:
- plastic canvas rectangle (28x63)
- lots of circles for the bottom and lid
- pink and white yarn

*Tea Cups:
- Plastic canvas rectangle (15x45)
- one small circle for bottom
- pink and white yarn

*Plates and Saucers:

- pink and white yarn

Tea Tin:
- plastic canvas rectangle (28x15)
- plastic canvas circles
- blue and white yarn

*Tea Bags:
- knitted rectangle in cream, stuffed, and sewn together
- blue plastic canvas square for tab

Small, Frosted Cookies:
- 1” wooden circles
- cream colored yarn knit into a rectangle just large enough to wrap around circle
- cover circle with cream rectangle
- knit another, smaller rectangle in brown
- sew the brown rectangle over the cream

Children's Apron:
- Knit with this pattern
- “Monet” multicolored yarn by Red Heart

Skillet:
- plastic canvas 6" circle
- plastic canvas handle
- black yarn

I have starred the things which I entered into the fair. The rest I have just made for my collection. I have many more things on my list left to complete, but I've put the project on hold for a while. Maybe after we move to Africa, I'll start up again.
